Birmingham host Student Day event

Our annual Student Day event took place on Tuesday 27th September 2022 at the Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, Birmingham. The event invited Students, Supervisors, Management committee members, Industry partners and Steering Board members to hear about the array of research our CDT students are carrying out.
The day began with a welcome from Professor Liam Grover, Professor of Biomaterials Science, Director of the Healthcare Technologies Institute and Deputy Director of the lifETIME CDT who provided an introduction to the CDT followed by an overview of the programme. Delegates then heard from 2nd and 3rd year CDT students who provided short research talks across several sessions.
The final session of the day began with a keynote talk from Professor Morgan Alexander, Professor of Biomedical Surfaces at the University of Nottingham followed by short industry talks from a number of our Industry partners, including:

The session concluded with a poster session from our 1st year CDT students who each provided a poster overview of their research during a networking session.
